101 Dalmatians! Barcelona! the flu....

the big post is finally here! the recent events have finally reached the dawg zone.
i will start with 101 dalmatians.

101 Dalmatians

it went really well! there was a big crowd on sunday, which was really exciting. but my best performance was probably on friday. lots of retired people from the group came to watch. more pictures this summer!

Barcelona!
the five day training camp was awesome. we stayed at a 4 star hotel, which was really nice. our rooms were cleaned every morning, except for one. i was in the same room as my friend karl, who goes to my school. every morning we would wake up at 7, eat a big buffet breakfast, and head to training at 8. then we had luck at 1, and training again at 3. dinner was served at 7 o clock. the time in-between was free time, and also time for entertainment.

entertainment: the group was divided in to three groups, two for players and one for coaches.
each group had to come up with something for one night. my group decided just to clap and go up and say our names, along with something that rimed with it.

but the coaches were really creative. they came up with an Americas got talent thong for us. we were given different back grounds and talents. i was a magician with a really tall assistant. but the winner was a poet whose brother was in Iraq. it was a lot of fun.

but each room also had to come up with entertainment, so karl and i did some american puns like "did you hear about the guy who lost his entire left side? he's all right now"
and we won!!

the prize was a little soccer ball and some candy.

Camp Nou

on the last day we were taken to Camp Nou, Barcelona's stadium. it is the biggest stadium in europe!
there was a lot of cool history, both about the stadium and the team.
we had several views of the stadium, this one was from the middle
there were also lost of cool trophies that are worth millions. the one is called the Ballon dor, and it is the best player of the year award.

we also got to see where they interview the played after the games, so we pretended to be interviewed just for fun.

this is the locker room where the away team changes and gets ready. it had a hot tub!
there were also pictures of famous players the had been there before.

we also made it down to the bench, where the players and coaches sit, the view was great from there.

that was my day at Camp Nou.

The Flu
the first morning i got home, i got sick. a lot of other kids got the flu in spain, so i thought i dodged a bullet, but i got sick anyway. i got to see martha for a little bit, but my illness hindered that. all better now, will be posting regularly.

Beautiful post Jet! Wow, Barcelona looks so amazing!! What a cool hotel! That's an amazing experience. Great pictures. I wish I could see the 101 Dalmations play! Bummer about the flu, but you definitely dodged the bullet because getting sick on trips/vacation is the worst!! Once I got really sick the day I went to Las Vegas and I was sick the whole trip and it was over 100 degrees the whole time. I can't wait to hear more about Spain and the play!

My mom told me her and Annie went hunting for a moose, I'd also like more detail on that
