I was sitting near the center of the bus this morning, when some commotion erupted a few rows behind me (near the back of the bus). I turned around and an old homeless man was fighting with the poor guy sitting next to him (a normal looking dude). The homeless guy was yelling swear words and screaming at everyone on the bus to "mind your own business!" The normal dude got up out of his seat and stood in the aisle and the homeless man continued to yell at everyone. A girl in the seat across from him yelled at the bus driver to call the police so the bus driver pulled the bus over. He got on his little intercom thing and said, "you in the back there, you need to get off or I'm calling PD."
The homeless man kept harassing the normal dude as he got off the bus, yelling at him to get off the bus with him so that they could fight. The normal guy pushed the homeless man off the bus and the bus driver closed the doors.
Up until this point, this was a pretty normal situation, this happens on the bus like all the time. However, the homeless man then began punching the glass on the door (from the outside) over and over until the glass shattered! He kept punching and people were yelling at the bus driver to go but he couldn't because there were cars in front of him! The glass on the doors shattered into millions of cracks and the homeless man just kept punching until pieces started to fall.
The bus was finally able to safely pull away, and everyone on the bus got really quiet and then almost everyone got off at the next stop. I wasn't sure why (because the homeless man could still get them on foot) but maybe they were worried he was going to come for the bus? There were a lot of old ladies on the bus I think they got scared.
Anyway, funny thing was the normal dude and the girl in the back started talking to each other and laughing together and I thought that would be a really funny way to meet your boyfriend/girlfriend! They would have to thank the homeless guy at their wedding.
